He believes an elected official’s duty is to protect their constituents’ individual life, liberty, and property, not regulate it. As a County Board Member, Chris will defend the Peoria County taxpayers from the extravagant and over-indulgent Peoria County government by ushering in a new wave of efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
Chris is passionate about helping others, defending personal liberties, and protecting individual rights.
Passionate About Community Service
Chris has always been passionate about community service and is an enthusiastic supporter of Peoria’s Elite program, volunteering his videography and photography talents. After losing a dear loved one to suicide and becoming friends with many Veterans, Chris has been an advocate of suicide prevention. In 2019, he started the “Peoria Out of the Darkness Walk” for the American Foundation for Suicide prevention. In its inaugural year, the walk had over 150 participants and raised over $10,000K that went directly to suicide prevention in the local Peoria area.
Chris was born and raised in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and after high-school went on to pursue his passion at Columbia College- Chicago, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Film/Video.
After college, Chris moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in Film. Although he started with film, he ended up working on live television for nearly a decade. In 2014, Chris decided to move back to the Chicago land area to be back near his family and assist life-long friend Chad Grimm with his Governor’s campaign. After the campaign, Chris, who was an experienced professional in his industry, was introduced first hand to the difficulty of breaking through the Chicago union machine for employment. Instead, Chris moved to Peoria, a community he had fallen in love with over the years, to take his current job at Nexstar Broadcasting.
